Sana Zehra Raza

Sana Zehra Raza completed her early schooling and A Levels in Karachi before pursuing higher education at McGill University, Montreal, Canada, where she graduated in 2003 with a joint degree in Economics and International Development Studies.

Sana began her career as a Research Assistant at InfoAmericas, Montreal, in 2002, shortly after graduation. After returning to Pakistan, she joined the World Conservation Union (IUCN) Pakistan as a Program Coordinator in Karachi. In this role, she contributed to the publication of the Sindh State of Environment & Development Report, a key document for environmental and developmental studies.

In 2007, she joined the Pakistan Centre for Philanthropy (PCP) in Islamabad as a Program Officer for Public-Private Partnerships (3Ps). As a team leader for a five-member unit, Sana managed and implemented school adoption programs in collaboration with major corporate partners such as Unilever, Petronas Carigali, Tullow Oil, English Biscuits, and Citigroup. These partnerships helped support 33 schools across four districts in Pakistan, significantly contributing to the improvement of educational standards.

Currently, Sana is a business entrepreneur and the founder of Bean & Peanut, a health and nutrition diet planning company, where she focuses on promoting healthier lifestyles through personalized dietary services.

Sana’s diverse experience in research, philanthropy, and business management brings invaluable expertise to the Babaza Foundation Trust. Since 2020, she has served as the General Secretary of the Board, where her contributions have strengthened the trust’s community development, capacity building, and management efforts.
